Biographical Info

A junior from Frederick Maryland, Nomongo is studying biophysics and staying involved on campus. With her aspirations of potentially becoming a surgical oncologist, Nomongo is passionate about health inequities, research, and community work. Through her on-campus activities as a MAPP mentor, Jail Tutorial Project, Charm City Science League, and Sigma Omicron Pi, Nomongo loves the explorative aspects of science due to its ability to break into new frontiers of knowledge and troubleshooting. When she’s not busy volunteering at the Johns Hopkins Hospital or doing research, Nomongo loves staying active through rock-climbing and Brazilian jiujitsu
