Biographical Info

Senior Ashley Ezema is a Public Health Studies major with aspirations to be a practicing physician abroad. Her initial interests in medicine originated from watching her father practice as a physician and later developed as she further pursued her studies and volunteer work in the sciences. Ashley hopes to couple her love of science with her public health knowledge to address the health disparities. This has motivated her to become an advocate for Health Leads: an organization dedicated to catalyzing the access to resources for underserved populations. Similarly, she participates in research at the Bloomberg School of Public Health investigating the impact of race and gender on religiousness and spirituality. On campus, Ashley is involved in the African dance group Temps d’Afrique and the Multicultural Student Volunteer organization. She also enjoys traveling and reading.
